Job Description

 The Technology Support Specialist will work closely with the Technology Director and are the friendly, first level support of all technology related help desk tickets, providing hands-on support for workstations, servers, printers, networks, phones, Microsoft applications, and more for all local and remote users. Additional responsibilities include coordinating MSP, third-party support, project management & implementation, department related administrative tasks, training end users, creating manuals, and more. Occasional, local state travel may be required.

The ideal candidate will be detail and service oriented, and effectively collaborate with teammates, multitask, prioritize, and meet critical deadlines while exhibiting care for the company culture.

 

Requirements

    • Formal hands-on Windows IT Experience is a must.
    • Physical & Virtual Network Infrastructure & Troubleshooting
      • Knowledge of (LAN), (WAN), (WLAN), firewalls, AP, OP AD, VPNs, and access restriction.
    • On Premise Domain Controller and File Server
      • Network Shares, File Permissions, Printer Configurations
    • Microsoft 365 Cloud Administration
      • AD, Azure & Exchange
      • Sites and Services
      • Group Policies
      • Security Groups & Filtering
    • DNS Filtering & Configuration
    • Protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, IMAP, SMB)
    • Microsoft Desktop applications knowledge
      • Intermediate to Expert Outlook & Excel knowledge
    • Hardware Troubleshooting & Replacement
      • Computers, Servers, Tablets, Phones, Cables, Printers, Hard Drive, NIC, RAM, etc.
    • Ability to research and find solutions to problems
    • Strong documentation, administrative, and follow-through skills
