Position Summary
Legado, a 329-unit luxury apartment community, is seeking an experienced Community Manager to lead the on-site team and oversee the lease-up and ongoing operations of the property.
The Community Manager is responsible for hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and supervising on-site employees. This role will direct all lease-up activities, marketing efforts, and staff operations while ensuring strong resident retention and financial performance.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with lease-up expertise, exceptional closing skills, and a passion for delivering an outstanding resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full lease-up of the community
- Showcase the property to prospective residents and maintain strong closing ratios
- Process and approve applications and coordinate move-ins
- Hire, train, motivate, and supervise on-site team members
- Direct marketing strategies and monitor competitor activity
- Maintain excellent resident communication to promote retention
- Plan and execute resident events and community functions
- Mediate resident concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Negotiate vendor pricing and oversee vendor services
- Manage supplies and parts inventory, including ordering and invoice processing
- Oversee and support property maintenance programs
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of three years Community Manager experience required
- Lease-up experience preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Experience with Yardi software preferred; must be tech-savvy
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and administrative skills
- Strong sales ability with excellent closing ratios
