Job Summary
P.B. Bell is seeking a versatile and customer-focused Part-Time Community Manager / Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our Pinon community. This unique hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both resident interaction and hands-on property maintenance.
The successful candidate will assist with leasing, resident relations, administrative responsibilities, and community operations while also performing maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep to ensure the property remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained. This position requires excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Community Management
- Greet prospective residents, conduct community tours, and assist with leasing activities.
- Process applications, prepare move-in documentation, and support resident onboarding.
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Respond promptly to resident questions, concerns, and service requests.
- Assist with rent collection, notices, resident files, and administrative reporting.
- Coordinate resident events and community engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and applicable laws.
- Support marketing efforts and maintain the community's online presence as needed.
Maintenance
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and apartment turns.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, and other general maintenance items.
- Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community, including common areas and amenities.
- Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining maintenance records.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, if applicable.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience in multifamily property management, apartment maintenance, or a combination of both required.
- Prior Community Manager or Assistant Community Manager experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of general apartment maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, drywall, and painting.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused demeanor.
- Experience with Yardi software preferred; must be comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and technology.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong leasing and customer service skills with the ability to build resident relationships.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing business needs.
