The Financial Analyst performs various duties such as property and loan underwriting preparation and analysis; working closely with operations team to understand property performance, leasing activity and future events that will impact financing activities, coordinating finance operations by interfacing with internally departments in preparation of reports and gathering information. They will also be responsible for supporting financing activity and reporting. The Financial Analyst works closely with the CFO, Director of Acquisitions, Accounting Department, Property Operations and IT.

Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance, economics or business preferred.
  • Three to five to years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting, planning and forecasting in real estate finance or asset management industries.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, make projections, draw conclusions and create effective written and verbal reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing property appraisals, environmental reports, and property condition assessments.
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts, including internal rate of return, net present value and return on equity, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and other MS Office applications
  • ARGUS and Yardi software experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively across departmental lines
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to change work assignments and priorities at a moment’s notice
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and follow-through
