Position Summary

The Data Analyst will be responsible for duties supporting IT, Accounting, Acquisitions and Operations. These duties include collection, manipulation, integration and transition of data between systems for the purpose of reporting and business intelligence to support decision making.   Essential job functions include data collection including extracting information from various disparate sources and formats, data cleaning, validation and testing to ensure complete, consistent and accurate information, transform data into destination usable types and load information into destination systems, develop and improve processes and document procedures for data manipulation and integration. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for preparing and modifying reports using Excel & Access, SSRS, scripting, etc. Use basic accounting & property management knowledge to assist in development and production of reports, reporting systems and documentation.

Skills / Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, information systems or equivalent work experience in a closely related field.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data processing methods, database fundamentals, personal computer applications; ETL concepts; chart, graph and tabular report development.
  • Experience in data processing and its applications; Background in technology, information management, relational database design and development, business intelligence, data mining or statistics; Solid spreadsheet and database experience required.
  • Outstanding written and visual communication skills; use logic and analysis to solve problems; classify, compute and tabulate data and information following a prescribed plan; meticulous attention to detail; exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving a variety of duties subject to frequent change; prioritize competing requests for service.
  • Experience with Yardi and property management desirable. SQL, VBA or other scripting and programming experience will be helpful.
